Terms of service

Last updated: 15 July 2026

This website, grinthockey.com, is operated by SA 4U BV, doing business as GRINT and GRINT HOCKEY. Throughout this site, "we", "us" and "our" refer to GRINT.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), including any additional policies referenced herein or available by hyperlink. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, merchants and contributors of content.

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our website. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access the website or use our services. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Belgian or EU law.

1. General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, within the limits of applicable law.

You understand that your content (excluding payment card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve transmissions over various networks, and changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Payment card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

2. Accuracy, Completeness and Timeliness of Information

We are not responsible if information made available on this site is inaccurate, incomplete or not current. Material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making decisions. We reserve the right to modify site content at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information. This does not affect our legal obligation to provide accurate pre-contractual information before a purchase.

3. Modifications to the Service and Prices

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. Price changes never apply to orders already confirmed. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service, without prejudice to orders already placed.

4. Products or Services

Certain products may be available exclusively online through the website and may have limited quantities. Returns and exchanges are governed by Section 18 (Right of Withdrawal) and Section 19 (Legal Guarantee and Warranty).

We make every effort to display accurate product images and descriptions, but we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display will reflect product colours or finishes with full accuracy.

We reserve the right to limit sales of our products to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction, on a case-by-case basis and within the limits of applicable law. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

Concept Series — experimental products

GRINT is a young brand. Our first product generation is released as a Concept Series: developed with performance and innovation in mind, produced in limited runs, and experimental by nature. Concept Series products may display minor cosmetic or material imperfections — such as finish variations, print deviations or small surface irregularities — that do not affect performance or safety.

Where specific imperfections or deviations are known, they are described on the product page before purchase. By expressly and separately accepting these characteristics when placing your order, you agree that these specific, disclosed deviations do not constitute a lack of conformity. This acceptance never extends to defects that were not disclosed, and it does not affect your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity for undisclosed defects and, for EU consumers, the right of withdrawal.

5. Billing and Account Information

We reserve the right to refuse any order placed with us. We may limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. If we change or cancel an order, we will notify you using the contact details provided at the time of the order.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information, and to promptly update it so we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

6. Optional Tools

We may provide access to third-party tools which we do not monitor or control. You acknowledge that we provide access to such tools "as is" and "as available", without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind. We shall have no liability arising from your use of optional third-party tools.

7. Third-Party Links

Certain content, products and services available via our site may include materials from third parties. Third-party links on this site may direct you to websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or services. You should review their terms and conditions before engaging in any transaction.

8. User Comments, Feedback and Submissions

If you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals or other materials — online, by email or otherwise — you agree that we may edit, copy, publish, distribute and use such content in any medium. We are not obligated to maintain such submissions in confidence or to compensate you for them.

You agree that your comments will not violate any third-party rights or contain unlawful, abusive or obscene material.

9. Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through the site is governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions

Occasionally there may be errors, inaccuracies or omissions in product descriptions, pricing, promotions, shipping charges, availability and transit times. We reserve the right to correct any such errors and to change or update information, or cancel orders affected by a manifest error, at any time without prior notice. If your order is cancelled for this reason, any amounts already paid will be refunded in full.

11. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the site or its content for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service for violating any prohibited use, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination or abuse
  • Uploading malicious code or viruses
  • Collecting personal data without consent
  • Interfering with the site's security features

12. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee that your use of the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those required by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any products obtained through it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under Belgian law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our fault. Nothing in this section affects the legal guarantee of conformity described in Section 19.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GRINT, its officers, employees and affiliates from any claims or demands resulting from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full effect.

15. Termination

These Terms are effective unless terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our services. We may terminate this agreement at any time for any breach of these Terms. Termination does not affect orders already placed or any statutory rights attached to them.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms and any policies posted by us constitute the entire agreement between you and us, superseding any prior agreements, communications or proposals, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium. If you are a consumer residing in another EU member state, you also retain the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and nothing in this clause deprives you of the right to bring or defend proceedings before the courts designated by applicable EU law.

18. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day you (or a third party designated by you, other than the carrier) receive the goods, without stating a reason.

To exercise this right, notify us by an unequivocal statement within that period — by email to info@grinthockey.com or by post to the address in Section 20. You may use the EU model withdrawal form, but this is not obligatory. You then have 14 days from your notification to return the goods to us.

Refund. We will refund all payments received from you, including standard outbound delivery costs (but not any supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than our least expensive standard option), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied proof of having sent them, whichever occurs first. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods, unless the item delivered was faulty or incorrect.

Condition of returned goods. You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. If the goods show diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for such inspection — for example, use in play — we may deduct an amount corresponding to that diminished value from your refund.

Exceptions. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (custom-made products).

19. Legal Guarantee and Commercial Warranty

Legal guarantee of conformity. If you are a consumer in the EU, you benefit from the statutory legal guarantee of conformity of two years from delivery, in accordance with Belgian and EU law. If a product proves not to conform to the contract, you are entitled to repair or replacement free of charge, or — where applicable — a price reduction or refund. This guarantee is provided by law and cannot be limited by these Terms. Specific deviations that were disclosed before purchase and expressly and separately accepted by you (see Section 4, Concept Series) do not constitute a lack of conformity.

Commercial warranty. In addition to (and without limiting) the legal guarantee, we provide a commercial warranty against manufacturing defects for the period stated on the product page. The commercial warranty does not cover: damage caused by misuse or use other than the product's intended purpose (for example, use of an outdoor stick for indoor play or vice versa); impact damage outside normal play; neglect or improper storage; normal wear and tear, including surface wear, chips and scratches from regular use; or the specific, disclosed characteristics accepted at purchase under the Concept Series terms in Section 4. Composite sticks are performance equipment; wear consistent with regular play is inherent to the product and not a defect.

To initiate a claim under either guarantee, contact info@grinthockey.com with proof of purchase and photos of the issue. If a product is defective, we will offer repair, replacement or a refund in accordance with your statutory rights.
